About the Publisher
What is Supercritical Books?
Supercritical Books is an independent publisher of serious nonfiction for readers who return to books and sit with ideas. We publish books that reward careful attention, works on AI, personal finance, philosophy, technology, and the texture of everyday thinking.
Why is it called “Supercritical”?
In physics, beyond a substance’s critical temperature and pressure, the distinction between liquid and gas disappears. We chose the name because the best nonfiction changes how you think, not just what you think about.
What does “Ideas Worth the Time They Take” mean?
It is our promise about the kind of work we publish. These are books that repay attention and lose something important when reduced to a summary.
Buying Our Books
Where can I buy Supercritical books?
Our books are available through major retailers and can be ordered through most bookstores. Bookstores can source many of our titles through Ingram.
What formats are available?
All published titles are available in paperback, hardcover, and ebook formats, including Kindle.
Do you offer audiobooks?
Some of our titles can be listened to on Amazon with Virtual Voice narration. Full audiobook editions are not available yet.
Do you ship internationally?
Most retailers we sell through ship internationally, and availability varies by country. Your preferred retailer or local bookstore can confirm options for your location.

Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes. We offer discounts for orders of 10 or more copies. Contact us with the title and quantity for pricing.

Yes. Book clubs can order through any retailer, or contact us for bulk pricing on larger orders. For selected titles, we can also provide discussion materials.
